The coolest new application of technology to healthcare is RFID. There already are RFID tags that store entire patient medical histories and the biometric passports (which happen to use RFID) may in the future store a persons medical data as well.

Anyway, this is an excellent list that you can shove up to the medical people, especially some enterpreneur. The first four are definitely doable within no time. If anyones interested, give me a shout :P

It RFID concept may be cool, but the confidentiality issue comes in to the lime light with the kind technology you are referring to. How far is too much one may ask.

I think it would be great with technolgies like robotics to be in use in hospitals. In japan they use robots in shifting patients from one place to other.

good points, but as everything else, easy said then done. and we are talking abt maldives here. things like what u have listed should be pushed by the health authorities. but very good points, which have been talked abt but not yet reality.

What do you mean by health authorities? Arent you your own health authority or have you given the authority of your health to some one else?
