It might come as shocking news to some, but the youngest mother ever is a five (5) year old girl from Peru. It all happened on the 14th of May 1939. Lina Medina (in picture) gave birth to a baby boy (Gerardo who died at the age of 40 in 1979) who weighed 2.7 kg by caesarean section due to young mothers small pelvic space.

How could this be possible considering the fact that a five year olds body is not ready for bearing babies, ovulation? If true it also raises the question of child abuse and cild molestering. Her father was arrested on charges of incest and later released due to insuficient evidence. It seems that there is evidence to prove that she started menstruating at the age of three. Quiet amazing eh!

It seems that the answer for her pregnancy (apart from who molested her) lies in a small teeny tiny place just under the brain known as the pituitary gland. This small place is a very facinating organ in the human body which controls or involved in the regulation of most of the hormones in the human body.

If you suddenly feel or notices that your shoes dont fit you or become aware that your hands have grown large in size, it probably is due to a disease in this tiny place called the pituitary gland.

If you still think that this is a hoax (wich i also first thought it was), read this and go through the archives of American Newspapers and some Medical Journals where you will find that it did happen. Also, there was a similar reporting of a Russian girl in the same circumstances as Medina.
