-THE TRUTH SLEEPS IN THE MORGUE-

Dr. Niyaf leaving Maldives ?? October 22, 2007

Filed under: Influences, politics — maldiveshealth @ 7:31 pm

Got this response from a reader. I do not know the truth behind this as i haven’t been able to confirm this yet. I will know very soon. I ask who ever who wrote this to me to not  harm anyone.

I have just spoken to someone very close to niyaf, also a co-worker. What I was told was so distressing that I just had to write it to you.

Niyaf is apparently leaving maldives for good! I understand that he is very disappointed with the medical admin of IGMH and the way they have handled this issue (the one involving the new HOD- the as*****- in the department). He is also very distressed by the lack of action by his co-workers following this incident- who are apparently at work as if nothing has happened. They are all very supportive of niyaf, they like him a lot, they speak very good about him…..and if the need arises have their loved ones treated by him. But the selfish D*Gs have done nothing to force the admin to change its decision.

I also got a clearer picture of what had happened: this friend of mine working at IGMH confirms that the new HOD was treating kids in a way far removed from appropriate…….and the two doctors raised concern about it. {I say rightly so too}. He apparently went and incited the admin S***-Heads like solih, fathmath ali and Firdous to take action………….the bullies!

The SH*T-heads, as expected- remember they have nothing but SH*T in their calvarium- took the issue….cooked up of course to the always-sacking-happy Ilyas……the rest is history.

My friend confirms that niyaf is now in colombo to get visa for UK or Australia, and that he will leave in a couple of weeks.

Fathmath Ali B*TCH Didi is apparently the chief conspirator. I was told that niyaf had a professional argument with the B*TCH and she didn’t like the tone of his arguments. The B8TCH and F*CKING firdous then planned this. ASSH*LES.

I am going to scare the sh*t out of that Dr Bagvant (HOD), the child-molesting SOB. I know where you live! you M8ther-F*cker.

Where the heck is the medical association…..where is that…. that Golha-sucking Aseel. and where is the MNA. None of these stupid cranked-up thumb-suckers are doing anything …..

I say serves us all right. We will lose the best “kuda-kudinge doc” we ever had. Thanks to the child-m8lesting Bagvant, sh8thead Solih, party-p*ssy Fathmath Ali B*TCH Didi and and up yours Firdouse.

excuse my german…….i request you keep this comment or make it a post……remove my german if you have to.

I don’t know if he is leaving but I can confirm that he was in colombo recently. I don’t know if he got any visa either!

It is distressing isn’t it? The only doctors at IGMH who stood up for the rights of their patients, to up-hold their “duty of care” were punished and are now on the verge of leaving the country. We as a nation deserves nothing better than this! We have done nothing in response of this injustice. We have all allowed this to be played out as it is.

One readers had commented that dr niyaf should seek legal action against IGMH. I agree that he may. But that is not the essence of what I am saying. I believe that whether he does take legal action or not, we as a community should not allow this kind of politically motivated injustices to be tolerated.

I agree with this reader, where is MMA? I am aware of the fact that niyaf has left MMA bitterly disappointed with their apathy! I just hope that this meeting being announced on TV “the general body meeting” would address the issue. The trouble is, the bullies are also part of that association!

I am also disappointed with the medical community at IGMH (MMA or not) for continuing to work as if nothing has happened. I know that most, if not all of them, have verbally supported him in this issue. Evidently that is not the kind of support he needs. It is action that is required.

I don’t know what MNA stands for. But I guess it is the nurses! True, if there is a group as such or not, I am also shocked at their level of support for niyaf. All nurses that I have spoken to have said that they all like him, like his work, and that he is possibly the best doctor in terms of his attitude towards his patients. They have all expressed their support for him. They too, have done nothing more than that.

I think dr niyaf should not leave Maldives! He should stay and try to get things better. But I wouldn’t want him to stay if people don’t value his work.

I do understand that in his current state; his career threatened, his livelihood threatened, his family’s’ future threatened and all that with hardly a voice raised by Maldivians against the injustice, he is right to leave us. For good.

NB: can we start a chain mail to raise awareness and support for dr niyaf.

  2. finifenmaa Says:

I like the German. Tell the bullies to go copulate with themselves, please.

  3. gh Says:

I heard that he is planning to go overseas to acquire even more training in his field.

  4. Yasiph Says:

    sammy said “politically motivated injustices”
@sammy: I don’t think it is politically motivated, or is it?

@gh: I think he isn’t going abroad. But I have know doctors who feel he should leave for further training/specialization in neonatology(medical care for newborns)

He has been noted as saying that practices pediatrics for the sake of it and not as a source for income(most would probably say that). He thinks his ‘catering’ is a much better paid primary job. But hey guys, this may be a gossip but this is what i’ve heard and confused about.

I would really like to see a post about what really happened. I’m still not able to get viable information as the only news i got from dr.n himself is that I would probably have know from the media what is happening. Maybe he meant that everything the media had published is true. But what did really happen! Only if dr.niyaf would post his side of story, till then parents like us would be in confusion.

  5. finifenmaa Says:

well Yasiph, that is the pathetic truth. Isn’t it?

Our apathy, (or neurosyhilis for that matter) is such that we let good people suffer waiting for the spectacle to play its full-feature-length. We don’t seek the truth ourselves.

The truth is, believe me, very simple.
Niyaf, because of his post at MMA, had been very vocal about bringing good change to IGMH.
Whenever doctors took a stand on issues related to their wellbeing IGMH authorities and indeed MOH took it to mean Dr Niyafs’ politically motivated criticism.
I know for a fact that he used to be called to treat the presidents grandchildren, ministers kids and grand kids. Once a delay in attending to a grandchild led to some unnecessary tension. This tension was artificially created by one Dr Naila Firdous! That was the start of this whole problem.
Then there was the verbal tension between Dr Niyaf and Ilyas. Ilyas has evidently taken it to heart, inflamed by Dr Aseels fanning of the flame.
We all know how good he is as a doctor. The fact that all the self-acclaimed high-and-mighty turn to him in times of need says it all.
Then this event at the ward round with the new head of department. This was a simple professional disagreement. Niyaf and Ismail were right too. Good practices were being left to one side. Th trouble was that the complaints taken by the new head of department were taken as face value by Dr solih, Dr Fathmath Ali and Dr Firdous. They failed to discharge their responsibility of finding out what the true event were on ward round. It is their inability to do the right thing that led them to run to Ilyas for his action.
Ilyas, as said, was not in a happy place with the verbal conflict he had had with Niyaf earlier. This was his chance to show his power.

    That was the truth!

And Yasiph, you are wrong again; Niyaf IS leaving Maldives! He has already accepted an offer from overseas.

You are right however, he is going into neonatology. It maybe a big loss for us, but all this maybe a blessing in disguise for Niyaf. He’s found who his real friends are. He’s found it the hard way that the epidemic of Neurosyphilis in Maldives is this extensive!

Again, you may be wrong. It may be political. Niyaf is pro-change. Change is GOOD!

  6. Maumoon Firdous Junaid Says:

This is a nice one: sound familiar too!

In a small tribe in east Africa, the chief commands his health adviser to find him a doctor to accompany on all international travel. Fockdouse, the chief health advisor, interviews candidates and selects one Dr Jungdaid.

Prepared and armed with a medical kit, Dr Jungdaid sets out with chief Golhamoon on a trip to Singapore.

En-route chief Golhamoon has a heart attack and collapses. Dr Jungdaid rushes to the chiefs side and confidently starts resuscitation. Cycles of compressions followed by adrenaline doses were none-the-less futile.

With the adrenaline eye drop bottle near empty, the Ophthalmologist stops compressing chief Golhamoons’ eyes, and declares him dead.

  7. fnifenmaa Says:

    I’ve got relevant joke too:

Maumoon was facing Ilyas in a cowboy-styled mid-noon shoot out in the wild west.

With his gun in his hand, Maumoon sported a wicked grin and then fell on his face and started rolling on the ground. No shot were fired yet! Maumoon wasn’t injured either. He was laughing his sides off.

The undertaker went to Maumoon’s side and said, “Now, Now, Be fair…have a fair fight”

“How can this be fair!, The guy on the other side is known to fire BLANKS only” said Maumoon and rolled on and on.

  8. fnifenmaa Says:

medical association meeting tomorrow to discuss suspension!!

can you get the inside story?

heard that there was a meeting at ministry today lunch time to plan for action. they’ll almost definitely try to pitch docs against each other.

Ilyas firing-blanks-on-all-cylinders is scared shit in his panties (yup pink) afraid that docs may cripple the system.

aseel, the president of mma, wants to hit hard the already sucker-punched 2 doctors against popular support. he is doing all he can to derail the popular support train. the 2 faced jerk.

i hope the rest of the associations organising committee would do everything they can to keep doctors interests top of the agenda.

and of course; solih, firdouse, naila, fathmat did: copulate with yourselves vigorously!

  9. insider Says:

The meeting is on tonight. The agenda is “unjust suspension of 2 pediatricians”. All doctors are invited.

As I write meeting is underway. They are waiting for quorum to be established.

A letter was delivered today to Maumoon outlining the doctors grievances and the unjust actions taken by IGMH and MOH.

If I may use some german myself i would like to say “Father Uncle Cousin King” YOU to Dr Fathmath Ali Didi, Dr Mohamed Solih, Dr Mohamed Firdous, Dr Naila Firdous, Dr Aseel Jaleel and Dr Junaid! The BasTardS!!!

  10. insider Says:

    JUST IN:

Just heard at the meeting that Dr Ismail Shafeeu has been asked to return to work at IGMH.

Dr Niyaf is not at the meeting. He has apparently resigned from the association citing his refusal to represent the very people who are trying to destroy his life, career and livelihood. He has also asked to have his named removed from the member list! That is radical.

The news is that some other Executive committee members would also leave the association tonight! It is very clear that the association is dying because of the apathy of the medical community to this and other events. It is no surprise that the two doctors who were suspended were the former and current (well, now-resigned) presidents of the association.

There are rumors here that Niyaf may be leaving the Medical field! Not the country as has been previously reported. These are just rumors, Niyaf cannot be contacted. His mobile is disconnected and is out of reach.

There is a group at the meeting who would be calling for Dr Solih’s resignation, for his incapacity in tackling the very minor incident that triggered the suspension. Others want Fathmath Ali Didi to be sacked as well.

I just hope that the doctors get something concrete out of this meeting.

  11. insider Says:

hey Maldiveshealth (who ever you are) can you get this thread back on MVBLOGS again! and get more publicity. Please.

Dr Niyaf, if you are following this: we are with you. bad things sometimes happen to good people.
