Comment Moderation in force February 11, 2008

Comments will be moderated here after. Only Comments which i deem necessary will be posted as i am the owner of this blog. Hence, there might be a delay in appearing comments. Islamist extremist thinking will not be allowed a voice here after as i believe they should NOT be given a voice.  For the good of the whole society. This might be a temporary measure though,  to let the infiltrators know, to  keep  away from my blog as i don’t like it or approve of such dirty tactics.

NO TO TERRORISM! DON’T TOUCH OUR MALDIVES! October 3, 2007

Filed under: Announcements, Influences, politics — maldiveshealth @ 11:13 am

We don’t want terrorists and terrorism in our Maldives!

Join the cyber-protest by Maldivian bloggers.

This post is to join the cyber protest which is happening. Maldiveshealth condemns the recent terror attack in the Maldives in the strongest terms. Most importantly, action should commence to eradicate the menace of religious extremism in Maldives. This action must start at the individual level. We should not tolerate such acts where innocent people are the victims of rage.

It was few days back that yet again, another 8 year old toddler has been abused by 2 men. This is terror too in my book of definition. The worst of its kind. It seems that this was an act of rage.

Only one blogger has come up with the same sentiment that i am inclined towards.   Mhilmy said:

The only reason there is a huge outrage and a call for firm action against the perpetrators of bombing in Sultan Park is because it caused injury to 12 foreign tourists and therefore may hurt tourism. The same standard must be applied to every injustice and every abuse of the right of Maldivians. The same standard must also be applied to stop the import of drugs and eradicate drugs from our society. If it were the case we would never have come to this stage.

Far too many things has been neglected and left behind to rot. The wound has become infected and only antibiotics is the answer. That antibiotic is collective ACTION. Through collective action we can contribute to change.

So lets join our hands against religious extremism.

Maldiveshealth recieves Death threats April 23, 2007

Filed under: Announcements — maldiveshealth @ 7:43 am

It was shocking. Some of the comments recieved was really appalling too. Managing the comments has become a bit of a problem. A conversation (if some want to call it that) has been strarted. Much has been said. Some people even has asked to remove a certain post titled “Example of an autopsy report“.

I am not removing anything.

Maldiveshealth  has recieved death threats.

The author decides to carry on what the author has been doing. That is continue blogging.

A lot of publicity has been given to maldiveshealth and Salah and a failed government and people. In the end most of the comments recieved has no rational thinking behind it.

Shows how frustrated people are from both sides of the spectrum. A rant is a rant in the end. It doesnt give us answers.

The truth is still sleeping in the morgue it seems.
