-THE TRUTH SLEEPS IN THE MORGUE-

Maldives military chiefs silent and calm about their fellow paedophile? May 20, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — maldiveshealth @ 11:22 pm

Taken from DHIVEHI OBSERVER

Maldives military chiefs are evidently not concerned by the on going high profile case of a military person’s alleged sex scandal involving a 6 year old girl. According family sources, lance corporal Ahmed Mohamed (from Ha. Kelaa island), lured the girl by giving her sweets and gifts, before forcefully performing sex with her.

In the ongoing case, the mother of the victim has complained that the criminal court is refusing to give her information about the case. According to the victim’s mother, she was not only refused from having information about the case but she was even refused from attending the court to hear the case. Furthermore, journalists are not allowed into the court room to hear and report on this case.

The military man has been repentant and evidently has the full backing of military chiefs despite his comments and threats to journalists who are reporting about the case. Earlier this month, he threatened a Minivan Daily journalist with life in jail after the he took pictures of the accused. The accused then warned the reporter saying “you will get 25 year jail sentence” if you published these pictures. He then added further saying “remember this warning”[Source]. And, quite shamefully, lance corporal Ahmed Mohamed said in his defence that the little girl spends time with many men, forgetting that he is talking about a 6 year old and implying that it was not a big deal.

What is quite shocking in all this is how the top ranking military personnel are completely silent about this most embarrassing case, which has the potential to jeopardise the reputation of the country’s defence force. One wonders why the defence minister, Ismail Shafeeu and Chief of Staff Mohamed Zahir (two-two) are totally ignoring the case and is allowing this junior member to continue in the service, despite the on going case. In any civilised nation today, if such a case is brought to courts, the staff will get suspended pending the court verdict. And, in this particular case, the medical evidence as well as witness statements plus the apparent arrogant attitude of this military paedophile go to prove that the man is quite obviously guilty as charged, hence it is imperative that the military distance itself from the accused.

The question people are asking is why is he so important to the military top ranks that he is allowed to bring the whole institution to disrepute. A top ranking officer told us that it was an absolute disgrace that our chiefs are not taking some sort of action against this person. He added that “We (the military) are supposed to protect the people with our lives, defend our nation with dignity and courage and lead by example”.

The way things are going, it won’t come as a surprise if he continues in the military service, regardless of the verdict perhaps with a full pardon from the dictator-in-chief!

Child Abuse is a Norm July 25, 2007

No. I did not say that. Our minister who has a mandate to protect the children of this country says so.

Aishath Didi said, “child abuse happens in the Maldives and the government is concerned about this. But what happens is within the norm of other countries.” More from Minivan News.

Well, i have nothing more to say except call for the resignation of Aishath Didi.

A say on pedophiles July 23, 2007

Maldives is becoming a safe haven for pedophiles. Especially the girls are becoming victims more often than boys. Why is so? Is it the religion which is causing this effect? Or is it the media? Not enough sex on media or there is more sex than the pedophiles can fathom.

I am going to make a startling claim here: God hates anyone who has a vulva, a clitoris and a vagina. The followers of god hates vulva’s, vagina’s and clitorises. If they do love those why should they rape children having them? Why should they cause trauma and harm to these innocent girls? Why on earth and heaven or hell (or what ever) do they choose these kids to have forced sex with?

Part of the answer lies in religions.

All religions put women in a context of filth. All religions directly or indirectly put men above women. This in turn gives the belief to the men that they are superior beings. They get the notion that women are just childbearing machines, out there just for them to empty their load of oil.

Christianity claims women are inherently subservient to men, since Eve came from Adam’s rib.

Mohammad married at least 11 times during his life, and his youngest wife, Aisha , was nine years old when he married her. Now thats Cool!

Quran says: II/223: Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate). So go to your tilth as ye will..

IV/34: Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other … As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them.

IV/15: (to women) If any one of your women is guilty of lewdness … confine them until death claims them.

IV/16: (for men) If two men among you commit indecency (sodomy) punish them both. If they repent and mend their ways, let them be. Allah is forgiving and merciful.

Exodus 21:7-10 shows us that it is perfectly cool to sell your daughter into slavery and allow her master to rape her. Also in Exodus (22:16-17), if a man sleeps with a virgin (with or without her consent,) he must marry her. However, if her father refuses to allow her to wed, the man must then pay the father a dowry of virgins. How does the recently deflowered virgin feel about being treated like a piece of property?

Well, funnily enough, we don’t know.

Leviticus chapter 12 reminds us that women are unclean. After giving birth to a boy, a woman is considered unclean for seven days. However, if she has given birth to a girl, she is unclean for 33 days. Regardless, the concept that a woman is somehow unclean after giving birth is ludicrous.

Of course, all religions fear the vagina.

Leviticus 19:20-22 teaches us that a man can rape his female slaves and be forgiven, though the slave must be punished. Likewise, Deuteronomy 22:28-29 reminds us that a man can rape a virgin, though he must marry her, and also pay her father 50 shekels.

Hinduism leave no room for interpretation when it comes to the role of women:

“By a girl, by a young woman, or even by an aged one, nothing must be done independently, even in her own house. In childhood a female must be subject to her father, in youth to her husband, when her lord is dead to her sons; a woman must never be independent”. (Laws of Manu, V, 147-8).

Theravadan Buddhists claim a woman could never become a Buddha.

A popular belief in Buddhist countries is that negative karma results in a man being reborn as a woman. Again, the female gender’s state is seen as a punishment, one filled with shame. It is as if Buddha is saying, ” We don’t want to say women are equal to men, so we’ll just let you figure it out. If you decide they’re equal, fine. If you decide she’s the social equivalent of a cow, and you can sell her for a dowry, that’s cool too. I’ll just be over here, under my Bodhi tree.”

Jainism is frequently sited as the one truly peaceful religion. They even cover their mouths whilst walking outside so they cannot accidentally inhale a defenseless bug. Surely they, the Jains, are enlightened in matters of gender. Think again.

Jainism does not teach that women can gain ultimate spiritual liberation, though a woman could strive to become a man in her next life so she could then reach enlightenment.

Say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty ; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof. [Quran : 24.31]

All religions are sexist and repressive, especially towards the species who has a vagina.

Simple.. Women are to be controlled, whether through violence or fear.

Women are subservient to men and inherently inferior, period. Under all religions that is.

Now you relate the link with pedophilia and religions.

I will pass the pen over to you.

Nasheed on “druggies”, the antisocial and all the brouhaha from me (Part 2) June 8, 2007

Filed under: Drugs, Influences, Women and child health, death, disability, interests, malpractice, special needs — maldiveshealth @ 1:15 pm

…….This is the (part 2) of Nasheed on “druggies”, the antisocial and all the brouhaha from me (part 1)…….

An integrative model of the origins and development of antisocial behaviour during childhood and adolescence strongly shows that antisocial behaviour cannot be understood without taking individual differences into account, even though situational influences on antisocial behaviour can be powerful. Defiance of parental authority is related to some but not all forms of antisocial behaviour. The development of antisocial behaviour is very much related to oppositional behaviour. There is evidence on youths with earlier onset of ASPD on being likely of having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or Oppositional Defiant Disorder. However, it has to be noted that several longitudinal studies revealing children who engage in high levels of conduct problems during childhood staying away from antisocial behaviours as they grow older. Although it is like this, some children without any conduct problems later in adolescence develop antisocial behaviours. Growing in an environment which provides low reward is a key indicator to pre disposal to ASPD. Youths who engage in high levels of antisocial behaviour are much more likely than other youths to have a biological parent who engages in chronic antisocial behaviour and parental use of corporal punishment may play a causal role in the development of antisocial behaviour.

Punishment is usually associated with irresponsible behaviour, as it is understood by the society. How does children perceive responsibility ? According to socialisation theory, children’s concept on responsibility is learnt by example. This theory suggests that children are “socialised into morally responsible attitudes and actions and are dependent upon their parents for moral guidance”.

Therefore, the moral values and ethics that need to be stipulated in the children can be lost if the parents become too aggressive in their disciplining of their children. This in turn may predispose the child or adolescent in disregarding the moral and ethical values that society appreciates. Persons in the community who have experienced childhood abuse or neglect are considerably more likely than those who are not abused or neglected to have personality disorders in general.

Higher levels of parental supervision during childhood cause less antisocial behaviour during adolescence and children with earlier ages of onset of antisocial behaviour tend to have fewer well behaved friends than other youths, but they have friendships with other aggressive children. Antisocial children with earlier ages of onset teach one another new antisocial behaviours, and belonging to a gang increases in severity of antisocial behaviour. The influence of delinquent peers on later-onset antisocial behaviour appears to be much stronger. Delinquent peer influence plays a causal role in the development of antisocial behaviour and the strength of its influence increases with the age of onset of antisocial behaviour. The primary reason that lax parental supervision is associated with antisocial behaviour in youths is that less parental supervision allows youths to spend more time with delinquent peers. Improving parental supervision could be an important way to reduce the effects of delinquent peer influence. There is a strong link or association between ASPD with low socio-economic status in families as well. It can be argued that across gender and ethnicity, much of the inverse relation between family income and antisocial behaviour is accounted for by less parental monitoring at lower levels of socio-economic status.

On a different note, it is note worthy mentioning that some research has suggested an increase in risk of antisocial behaviour with intellectual disability. People having intellectual disabilities are still labelled in today’s society. I can recall that in some studies it has been noted that rather than being associated with increased rates of anti-social behaviour, adolescents with intellectual disability may be more likely to experience risk factors like lower socio-economic status and mental health problems and that these risk factors are known to be associated with them showing antisocial behaviour. By addressing issues associated with low socio-economic status and child mental health could be important in reducing the rate of anti-social behaviour among children. The issue of labelling goes hand in hand with bullying which is also another factor that can predisposes children to ASPD. Those who bully others are also displaying an antisocial behaviour through the act of bullying.

All this brings us to one final thing. That is we need a better , more functional and efficient mental health care system that can abolish the traditional labellings and injustice and look at individuals as human beings and everyone equally. We need a mental health care system urgently. We need a system which cares and people who sincerely cares.
